Commercial Site Review - Project Status Map

Take a look at newly submitted Commercial Building / Site Development Plans, Multi-Family Residential, changes in Commercial Use, and Minor Subdivisions under review in the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County.

No building or other structure shall be erected, moved, relocated, added to, or structurally altered; nor shall any building, structure or land be established or changed in use; nor any building be changed in use per Building Code, without first obtaining an Improvement Location Permit reviewed by a Site Review Committee.  The committee meets every Monday morning.

Parks & Recreation

The Department of Parks & Recreation coordinates and oversees the operation of 65 parks and 21 recreational facilities encompassing more than 2,500 acres of land in the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County, Indiana.

METS Bus System

The Metropolitan Evansville Transit System (METS) was created in 1971 to provide public transportation to the citizens of Evansville.

METS provides transportation for the public on 17 fixed routes Monday through Friday. Twelve of these routes are hourly and five run every 30 minutes. METS operates 16 routes on an hourly schedule on Saturday and five routes on an hourly schedule Sunday. The fixed route fare is $0.75 per bus for standard fare, $0.50 for students, and $0.35 for elderly and disabled riders.
