Plastic Fabrication Company Expands in Vanderburgh County

Vanderburgh County, Ind. (May 12, 2015) – The Vanderburgh County Council and economic development partners at the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville are pleased to announce that Enviroplas, Inc. a full-service custom engineering thermoplastic compounding and resin distribution company, serving customers nationwide, will expand manufacturing operations in greater Evansville.  Currently employing 43 full time workers, Enviroplas, Inc. will add 10 new full-time positions by 2020.

Currently located on Hedden Road, Enviroplas will expand manufacturing operations through the purchase of an additional facility located in the Vanderburgh Industrial Park (15220 Foundation Avenue). Renovations at the new facility will allow for additional extrusion equipment, research and development operations and warehouse capacity. 

The company plans to invest approximately $950,000 in personal property, $2.8 million in the purchase of real property and improvements and create 10 new jobs.  The Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville has recommended an incentive package that includes 10-year tax phase-in on real estate improvements and personal property purchased within the first two years. The Vanderburgh County Council Approved the Enviroplas Tax Phase-In request at its regular meeting on May 6th, 2015.

The positive economic impact generated from this project for Vanderburgh County totals in excess of $17.1 million per year, over the next 10 years.
