Evansville Hosts Regional Pitch Competition
Leading to Statewide Innovation Showcase where Evansville Start-up Quarion Technologies took the Top Prize in 2018
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (May 2, 2019) – A Regional Pitch Competition will take place on June 11th in Evansville, connecting local entrepreneurs and growth potential companies with like-minded individuals and investors looking to support emerging and growing technology.
The event will begin with pitches from each company followed by Q&A with the judges. One regional winner will receive a prize package of cash and in-kind services valued at over $5,000. In addition, the winner is invited to move on to the Venture Club of Indiana’s Innovation Showcase in Indianapolis on August 22nd – competing for cash, in-kind services, and priceless exposure to Indiana’s Angel and Venture Investor communities.
Last year, hundreds of startup companies from across Indiana competed in the Innovation Showcase for the chance to prove their startup’s merit. Evansville’s Regional Pitch competition winner, Aric Pryor brought home the statewide win and prize package for his Evansville-based startup, Quarion Technology.
The Regional Pitch Competition on June 11th is open to the public. Anyone with an interest in local startups is welcome to attend the free event. Attendees are asked to RSVP as food and beverages will be served.

In addition to networking opportunities, there will be an expo of fundable startups and a pitch contest with selected regional winners from across Indiana.
