Whole Sun Designs - A CoWorking Success

With office space designed for collaboration, and business on the rise, Whole Sun added 2 fulltime employees to their team while coworking at The Station.  The team departed from The Station in late July, and reports that their newly consolidated warehouse and office space in Downtown Evansville is working well for the company.

Fourth of July Freedom Celebration

On Friday, July 4th thousands will flock to Downtown Evansville to celebrate Independence Day on Evansville's spacious riverfront. The festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. as food vendors’ line Riverside Drive selling a wide variety of foods including: hamburgers, hotdogs, lemon shake-ups, ice-cream and so much more! And for the finale, presented by Tropicana Evansville (and supported in part by Vectren, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana), the Thunder and Lightning Fireworks Show will begin at dusk; shortly after 9:00 p.m.

Local Start-Up Advances to Finals of SPIE Startup Challenge

Innovative Photonics Technologies LLC, (InPhoTec), a local start-up with one of their two offices located at Innovation Pointe in Downtown Evansville, advanced to the finals of the SPIE Startup Challenge in San Francisco. The Start-up Challenge is a premier annual event for the International Society for Optics and Photonics and one of the largest optics and photonics conferences in the world.

Berry Plastics Announces Plans to Relocate Manufacturing Equipment to Indiana Facilities

Today, Berry Plastics announced plans to further optimize production and relocate manufacturing equipment to four of its Indiana manufacturing operations. The project will begin in early 2014 and will result in the addition of more than 330 production jobs, over the next two years, at the Company’s downtown Evansville, Evansville airport, Princeton, and Richmond facilities located within Vanderburgh, Gibson, and Wayne counties in Indiana.

nFLOW Holdings LLC, a startup company in the engine remanufacturing and machining business, announced today the purchase of assets from Wolf Brothers Motorsports and launch of business. nFLOW will remanufacture engines for all terrain vehicles, side by side utility vehicles along with engine components and full engine machining for most style automotive, trucking, agriculture, material lifting and earth moving equipment.
