Multi-family and Retail Mixed-use Project
Evansville, Ind. (8/25/2020) — Indianapolis-based House Investments announces the Groundbreaking of their multi-family and retail mixed-use project located at 200 N. Main Street in Evansville — marking the official commencement of The Forge on Main, a $26 million dollar development.
The Forge on Main is Workforce Housing project, which means the units will be priced for individuals at 60% to 120% of the region’s Average Median Income (AMI). Workforce housing fills the gap between low income housing which is generally subsidized with tax credits and market rate or Class A housing.
THE PLANS: 180 studio, 1 and 2 bedroom units + 15,000 sq. ft. of commercial space are planned in two structures (102 units in a 3 story walk up and 78 units above the retail space).
