All Aboard! THE (Soft) LAUNCH OF TED
Tuesday, May 1, 2018 — Funded through a community crowdsourcing grant headed, by the Franklin Street Events Association and the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville, nearly $60,000 was raised by the community to purchase the trolley, affectionately referred to as TED (Trolley of Evansville Districts). TED arrived in February, and he is getting ready for his big debut this weekend, with a new vinyl wrap job from Signarama Evansville, sponsored by Lefler Collision and Glass.
The TED route stops, and live-time geo-tracking is available on the DoubleMap App. This technology is currently utilized with METS and will be a large component of TED. With live time tracking, patrons shopping, dining, and enjoying the districts will be able to know exactly when TED will be at their destination.
Yearly passes may be purchased for $25 at Lamasco Bar and Grill & Franklin Street Tavern – additional locations for the passes will be available soon. All information can be found on the Facebook page, TED: Trolley of Evansville Districts. Without a pass, single rides are also available for $1 each way. TED is free to ride on Saturday day, and will eventually connect the two large playgrounds, Mickey’s Kingdom on the riverfront, and Stop Light City off West Franklin.
TED HAS ARRIVED!
February 8, 2018 — TED: Trolley of Evansville Districts arrived on Franklin Street today, making the trek from Florida to his new Evansville home.

Connecting our cultural districts | Enhancing our urban core | Growing our tourism industry
The hardwork behind TED is a collaborative effort between the Franklin Street Events Association and the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville, to bring a much-needed piece of connectivity to support the vibrant and growing districts of Evansville. Our eventual plan is to have several TEDs for Evansville’s neighborhoods, but to get this project off the ground we’re going to need community support to get the first trolley rolling. *Stay tuned for an exciting announcement in the upcoming weeks regarding how you can help with funding.
